In Kathua, an eight-year-old girl was kidnapped and held captive in a prayer hall.
There she was repeatedly gang-raped and finally strangled to death. The perpetrators dumped her body in the forest nearby. Needless to say, there has been a collective outrage in the state over this. Celebrities like Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Riteish Deshmukh have expressed their anger and disgust on Twitter and demanded justice for the victim.
I'd like to see every one of you miserable scum and your army of slimy sycophants put your parties and your bullshit aside and do something to make sure that no child ever has to face what this girl did. But you won't. Because you don't deserve this country.

A 8 year old is drugged, raped & murdered and another one is fighting for justice for herself and the death of her father in custody.
We have a choice either raise your voice or be a silent spectator.
‘Stand up for what is right even if you are standing alone.’#Kathua #Unnao

Please do not turn the rape and murder of an 8 year old into a political circus. The religion/politics of the accused or the girl should not be relevant! The only truth is that she is the victim, they are the criminals and there is no excuse for what they have done! #kathua

Celebs post angry tweets after chargesheet reveals chilling details
The Jammu and Kashmir Police filed an FIR against lawyers of Jammu who tried to prevent Crime Branch officers from filing a charge sheet in a court on Monday in connection with the Kathua rape and murder case.

U CANNOT BE SILENT WHEN AN 8 YR OLD GIRL HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED, DRUGGED, TORTURED, REPEATEDLY GANG RAPED FOR DAYS AND THEN MURDERED!
THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY RELIGION AND EVERYTHING TO DO WITH HUMANITY AND JUSTICE

A special team of the crime branch has made a case of conspiracy, kidnapping, wrongful confinement, gang rape, murder and destruction of evidence against eight accused, which include: Sanjhi Ram, the suspected mastermind, who is a former revenue official and local strongman; his son Vishal Kumar, a college student; Ram’s 16-year-old nephew who is the juvenile, and his friend Parvesh Kumar; Special Police Officers (SPOs) of Hiranagar police station Deepak Khajuria and Surinder Kumar; Sub Inspector of Hiranagar police station Anand Dutta, who was also investigating officer in the case, and Head Constable Tilak Raj.
Imagine what goes through the mind of an 8 yr old as she is drugged, held captive, gang raped over days and then murdered.
If you don’t feel her terror, you are not human.
If you don’t demand Asifa get justice, you belong to nothing.

Equal rights/gender bias/pay disparity all seem like such distant, first world concerns.Lets begin with addressing the unmentionable horrors of the absense of humanity. The only way forward, if at all, from this blood curdling barbarism is justice.Heartbroken and aghast. #Asifa
